Kalu Mia alias Diesel Engine, a village footballer from Laksam municipality area, was once the pride of Laksam in the world of football. He had many names and fame. As a member of the then Pakistan national team in 1963, Kalu Mia made his name on the football field in different parts of the country and then in West Pakistan and Kolkata many times. His speed of play was so fast that the spectators greeted him as a diesel engine as soon as he stepped on the field. Besides, Shishir Saha, Nikunj Saha, Dulal, Habib, Arun, Akkach, AH Rahman, who once made a splash in the Laksam sports ground, have become old. Many are representing Laksam at the national level, including the recent goalkeeper revolution. Mr. Md. Tabarak Ullah Kayes, General Secretary of Upazila Sports Organization is working sincerely for the development of sports. Laksam Upazila has won the Gold Cup five times in Comilla.

Laksam Stadium is located in the junction area of ​​the city.

4. Inter-school various sports competitions
